For those in McHenry County, IL (where I am located)-the crisis line program and number we have used for years is transitioning to a new number and different format. This is from the Northwestern Medicine team:
Effective 12/01/2020, the Northwestern Medicine crisis team will be transitioning from the “Crisis” to “Emergency Mental Health Services”. The majority of our services will remain the same, with the exception of the Crisis Line. The Crisis Line will be transferred over to Rosecrance Center, so we anticipate having more capacity to focus our talents on the patients in the NM Emergency Departments. We will continue to offer Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and Grief Response on request, and we will continue to be the main referral source for all bed placements within the Behavioral Health Unit at Woodstock Hospital.
Our New emergency mental health services number is 800.765.9999 (this will lead to a phone tree to all behavioral health services within Woodstock, including the behavioral health team in the Emergency Department). See the attached brochure and https://mchenrycrisisservices.nm.org/ for more information.
