INSURANCE

I am currently in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice. I am not in network with BCBS HMO. As a courtesy to my clients, I will submit your claim directly to Blue Cross Blue Shield for payment for the portion of service that BCBS contracts for. You will be responsible for your co-pay, your co-insurance or deductible portion if it isn’t met. Please call your insurance before our first session and ask what is your mental health coverage, what is your co-pay or co-insurance, how much deductible you have to pay, if there are session limits and what CPT session codes your insurance will pay for.

OUT OF NETWORK INSURANCE

You can call your insurance to find out what their out of network benefits are. Some insurances can pay up to 60% of out of network counseling sessions. For out of network clients, I can provide you with a “Superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. You will need to pay for sessions at time of service and submit the superbill to your insurance company.

If your insurance does not have out of network benefits, I can work with you on a fee that is reasonable for both you and for me. This may be an even lower out of pocket expense than staying in network. Sometimes it can be more affordable to pay a reduced fee out of pocket than to pay off a high deductible.

REASONABLE PRIVATE PAY FEES

I recognize that many insurances have high deductibles, poor mental health benefits or a lack of choice for mental health providers.  I want to help you get the counseling you need. Please contact me so we can discuss a fee. You may find that paying out of pocket can save you money, especially if you have not yet met your deductible.
