There is an amazing new sound and music technique that helps to relieve anxiety, calm PTSD, and help with insomnia. It is called 8D music/sound, and it needs to be listened to with headphones. The music rolls from the left to right side and back. The resulting bi-lateral sound is the same that is used with EMDR and other therapy techniques, causing the brain switch between the logical, thinking side of the brain to the emotional, intuitive, subconscious part of the brain. I have attached a lovely sample below (calm, soothing sounds…though beware of some ads). This technology has now entered mainstream music, so you can type in many songs, artists and styles of music with “8D” and likely find something you like. Again, the key is to use your headphones to create the effect.

There is Mozart, pop songs, Jazz, 40’s tunes, I just saw “Africa by Toto.:)
The above link is to the “Sleep Channel”, which you can subscribe to. To give them credit-their you tube channel is below, along with an explanation of how it works (No, I don’t get anything from posting this…I just think it is very cool).
Below is a you tube channel dedicated specifically to 8D music.

So if you are listening to music anyways, put on some headphones and reduce your stress. This music is available in many ways besides You Tube. Do a search on what you like with “8D”. I listen to relaxation music before bed so now I can do it with 8D music that can automatically calm my nervous system.
Enjoy….
